GARFIELD, NJ.- Last Thursday, following a swift-moving online child pornography investigation, a 37-year-old Garfield, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being formally charged with allegedly possessing media files containing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, members of the Garfield Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit after the Department received information that a Garfield resident may be in possession of child pornography, and an investigation was launched.
