Bergen County Man Charged With Physically Assaulting A Child

SADDLE BROOK, NJ.- Last Wednesday, a 44-year-old Saddle Brook, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with injuring a child during an assault in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, a caseworker from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the physical abuse of a child.
During a swift-moving investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Saddle Brook Police Department, and upon interviewing the child victim, Detectives quickly determined that Victor M. Morales, 44, of Saddle Brook, New Jersey, physically assaulted and injured the juvenile in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
Accordingly, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Morales was taken into custody in Hackensack, New Jersey, and formally charged with one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and one count of second-degree Aggravated Assault. Morales was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
