PINE HILL, NJ.- Late last month, following an undercover investigation, a 51-year-old accused child predator was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with attempting to meet an under girl at a local Camden County, New Jersey, hotel to engage in sexual activity.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, Michael Marchionese, 51, of Pine Hill, New Jersey, was formally charged with four counts of first-degree Attempted Manufacturing of Child Pornography; one count of second-degree Attempting to Lure A Child; one count of second-degree Attempted Sexual Assault of a Minor; and third-degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The charges stem from an investigation that began in October 2025, when Marchionese began communicating online with an individual whom he believed was a 14-year-old girl. When, in fact, the individual Marchionese was chatting with was an uncover Detective from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
The online chats later shifted to text messaging and continued for several weeks. During the conversations, Marchionese made multiple requests for the purported 14-year-old girl to send him nude pictures of herself. Marchionese ultimately arranged to meet the girl at a hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, to allegedly engage in unlawful sexual activity.
On November 21, 2025, members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force-Camden Division arrested Marchionese at his Pine Hill, New Jersey home. He was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Camden County Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.
