Hazlet Man Sentenced For Distributing Cocaine Last Year In Brick Township

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Earlier this month, a 25-year-old Hazlet, New Jersey, man was sentenced to New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to a controlled dangerous substance offense in connection with an incident that occurred on December 5, 2024, in Brick Township, New Jersey.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Friday, December 5, 2025, Brandon Torsiello, 25, of Hazlet, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan to five years in State Prison after pleading guilty on October 6, 2025, to Possession of More than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute, Cocaine.
Guilty Plea And Sentence Stems From December 2024 Arrest
The guilty plea and sentence stem from an incident that occurred on December 5, 2024, when Officers assigned to the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit observed Torsiello engaging in an activity consistent with an illicit narcotic transaction.
As Torsiello exited the parking lot in his motor vehicle, Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Torsiello’s vehicle. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit responded to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, and alerted to narcotics. Torsiello was taken into custody and transported to the Brick Township Police Department, where he was searched and found to be in possession of quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax, and suboxone. Torsiello was charged accordingly and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he has remained in custody since his initial arrest.
On December 7, 2024, Investigators obtained and executed a court-authorized search of Torsiello’s vehicle and uncovered and seized additional quantities of cocaine and assorted controlled dangerous substances.
   Following his sentencing on December 5, 2025, Torsiello was transferred to the custody of the New Jersey Department of Corrections to serve out his State Prison term.
