Egg Harbor Township Man Charged With Forcing A Child To Engage In Sex Acts

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Tuesday, following an investigation, a 25-year-old Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with forcing a child to perform sex acts with an adult, and forcing the girl to film the acts.

     According to Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, a teen girl came forward and reported to the Franklin Township Police Department that she had been forced by a man named “Kyro” to perform sexual acts with an adult male on four occasions between April and May 2025. She also reported to Police Officers and Detectives that she was forced to video record the sex acts so that “Kyro” could sell the video content online.

Detectives Identify Vaughan As The Suspect

     During the investigation, Detectives from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Franklin Township Police Department identified “Kyro” as Amir A. Vaughan, 25, a registered sex offender from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, as the individual responsible for forcing the child to commit the sex acts.

Vaughan Is Formally Charged On Tuesday And Jailed

     Accordingly, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with the assistance of Atlantic County Law Enforcement, Detectives of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Egg Harbor Township home of Vaughan. During the search, Investigators located and seized two cellular phones. Vaughan was taken into custody and was criminally charged with one count of first-degree Promoting Prostitution; and one count of first-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

     Vaughan was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Salem County Jail pending future court proceedings in Gloucester Superior Court in Woodbury, New Jersey. If convicted at trial, Vaughan faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison on each count.
