RIVERTON, NJ.- On Wednesday, following an online child pornography investigation, a 26-year-old Riverton, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with distributing and possessing video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of young children.

According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L.Bradshaw, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Christian Lutz, 26, of Riverton, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and one count of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.

Lutz was taken into custody during the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at his residence located on Linden Avenue in Riverton, New Jersey. He was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Burlington County Jail pending future court proceedings in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

The charges stem from an investigation that began when members of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit received a CyberTip from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Lutz’s online activities.

During the investigation, Detectives uncovered that Lutz utilized his cellular phone to exchange video files depicting toddlers and prepubescent children being sexually assaulted and abused by adult men. During the search, investigators located and seized multiple cellular phones. A forensic examination will be conducted on the seized cellular devices.

The case will be prepared and presented to a Burlington County Grand Jury for possible indictment.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
