Woodbine Man Charged With The Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A Child

WOODBINE, NJ.- On Tuesday, following an investigation, a 33-year-old Woodbine, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly sexually assaulting a child late last month in Woodbine, New Jersey.

     According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, on Monday, December 29, 2025, Detectives of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and New Jersey State Police launched an investigation after receiving an allegation of the sexual assault of a child. During the course of the investigation, Detectives determined that Brandon Anderson, 33, of Woodbine, New Jersey, sexually assaulted the child.

     Accordingly, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Andeson was taken into custody and formally charged with one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Anderson was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center pending future court proceedings in Cape May County Superior Court.

     If convicted at trial, Anderson faces a maximum of 20 years in New Jersey State Prison. In addition to the term of imprisonment, Anderson would be subject to parole supervision for life and be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law restraints.
