DELRAN, NJ.- Earlier this month, a 23-year-old Delran, New Jersey, man, and child predator found out he will be spending seven years in New Jersey State Prison after being sentenced for engaging in illicit sexual contact with three underage girls and possessing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, on Friday, January 9, 2026, Keith R. Desousa, Jr., 23, of Delran, New Jersey, appeared in Burlington County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Aimee Belgard to seven years in State Prison after previously pleading guilty to multiple child sex crimes.
Desousa previously appeared before Judge Belgard and pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and one count of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
The guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began in 2023, when one of the victims came forward and reported to the Police regarding her interaction with Desousa. During an ensuing investigation, Detectives determined that Desousa had communicated with all three children on Social Media platforms and offered to sell or exchange marijuana or other illicit narcotics for sex.
“Children are our most vulnerable population, and the prevalence of social media makes it much easier for predators to gain access to them,” said Prosecutor Bradshaw. “Sexual offenses, particularly those against the young who are often defenseless, will be investigated, prosecuted, and punished.”Â
