WASHINGTON, DC.- On Friday, a 26-year-old Washington, D.C., was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly robbing a store employee of their phone back in October 2025, in Northwest, D.C.

According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, just shortly before 3:30 p.m., members of the Washington, D.C. Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at a business establishment located on the 1900 block of Wyoming Avenue in Northwest, D.C.

Upon arrival, Responding Police Officers located an employee who reported that a man entered the store and assaulted and took their phone. During the altercation, the employee was able to get back the phone before the man fled the scene.

Based on a description provided by the employee and the business video surveillance footage, Police Officers and Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Terrence Womack, 26, of Northwest, D.C., and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, Womack was located and taken into custody pursuant to a DC Superior Court warrant and formally charged with one count of Robbery by Force and Violence. He was processed on the charge and detained pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
