Clayton Township Woman Charged In Stun Gun Assault On A Disabled Person

CLAYTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Last Thursday, following an investigation, a 62-year-old Clayton Township, New Jersey, woman was taken into custody and charged in connection with allegedly stabbing a disabled person in her care with a stun gun.
According to Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns, Yolanda F. Johnson, 62, of Clayton Township, New Jersey, has been charged with third-degree Aggravated Assault; third-degree Endangering a Person with a Developmental Disability; and third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
The charges stem from an investigation that began on February 3, 2026, when an adult victim, who is diagnosed with autism, disclosed to staff at a school that they had been harmed in their home. During the ensuing investigation, Detectives determined the victim, who had marks on their left rear shoulder, had been stabbed and injured by Johnson, who was caring for the victim as they attempted to leave home on January 30, 2026.
As a result of the investigation, Johnson was taken into custody on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was processed on the charges and was released on a summons pending future court proceedings in Gloucester County Superior Court in Woodbury, New Jersey.
