Brick Township woman Dies After Thursday Evening Collision At Route 70 & Morningstar Road; Authorities Seek Witnesses As Investigation Continues

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday evening in Wall Township remains under active investigation, authorities confirmed Friday, after one of the drivers involved died from injuries sustained in the crash.
According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, the collision occurred shortly after 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the intersection of State Route 70 and Morningstar Road in Wall Township, New Jersey.
Police Officers from the Wall Township Police Department were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle crash involving multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, first responders encountered three heavily damaged vehicles involved in the collision.
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate aid to the drivers of all three vehicles at the scene. Each driver was subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities said one of the drivers, a woman from Brick Township in Ocean County, later succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced deceased at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Her identity has not yet been released, as officials continue efforts to ensure that all immediate family members and close friends are properly notified.
The conditions of the other two drivers involved in the crash have not been publicly disclosed.
Investigators have not yet released details regarding the sequence of events leading to the collision, including whether speed, driver impairment, roadway conditions, or other contributing factors may have played a role.
The investigation is being led by the Wall Township Police Department, with assistance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the county’s Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART). The specialized unit is routinely deployed to analyze fatal or life-threatening motor vehicle crashes and reconstruct the events leading up to them using physical evidence, vehicle data, and roadway analysis.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that no criminal charges or motor vehicle summonses have been filed as of this publication.
Officials are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who possesses information that could assist investigators to come forward.
