Prosecutors Allege Sexual Abuse Of Juvenile In North Arlington Investigation

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ.- A 36-year-old Belleville man has been charged with multiple sex offenses involving a minor following a joint investigation by county prosecutors and local police, authorities announced.
Mark Musella, the Bergen County Prosecutor, confirmed the arrest of Ahmed A. Rady, 36, of Belleville, New Jersey, on charges including endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact.
According to prosecutors, the charges stem from an investigation initiated on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding allegations of sexual abuse involving a juvenile.
The investigation, conducted under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Chief Michael Horton of the North Arlington Police Department, determined that Rady allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a minor in the Borough of North Arlington.
Authorities said Rady was arrested the same day in Belleville, New Jersey, without incident.
Charges Filed;
Rady has been formally charged with the following offenses under New Jersey law:
- One count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child
- Two counts of third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact
Court Proceedings;
Following his arrest, Rady was remanded to the Bergen County Jail. Officials confirmed that he subsequently made his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey, and was later released pending further court proceedings, consistent with New Jersey’s bail reform guidelines.
Ongoing Investigation;
Prosecutors have not released additional details about the victim due to the individual’s age and the sensitive nature of the allegations.
The case remains under active investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the North Arlington Police Department.
