52-Year-Old Hackensack Man Charged With The Past Multiple Sexual Assaults Of A Child

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported, that on Monday, June 17, 2024, a 52-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey man was taken into custody and formally charged in connection with the past repeated sexual assaults of a child who was under the age of thirteen when the assaults began.

     On Monday, June 17, 2024, The Hackensack Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report of an alleged invasion of privacy that had occurred in the past. An investigation into the allegation was initiated.

     Following a swift-moving investigation and after conducting interviews with witnesses including the victim, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department quickly determined that Braulio Toral, 52, of Hackensack, New Jersey had recorded the victim without their consent on numerous occasions where a person would not expect to be observed. The investigation further uncovered that Toral sexually assaulted a child on multiple occasions, when the child was under the age of thirteen.

     Accordingly, at the conclusion of the investigation, on Monday, Toral was taken into custody at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and formally charged with second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact; third-degree Invasion of Privacy; and two counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact.

     Toral was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

“The rules of the court requires us to include a statement, that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
