Camden County Authorities Are Investigating The Fatal Shooting Of 22-Year-Old Camden Man

CAMDEN, NJ.- Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that claimed the life of a 22-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man after he was gunned down early this morning on a Camden, New Jersey Street.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, shortly before 1:00 a.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter Activation for gunfire in the area of the 1000 Block of Atlantic Avenue in the City of Camden.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Tyquan Eason, 22, of Camden, New Jersey, near the intersection of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Thurman Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Mr. Eason was immediately transported by Police Officers to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue their search for the gunman.
