35-Year-Old Paterson Man Hospitalized After Being Shot Late Monday Afternoon On A Paterson, New Jersey Street

PATERSON, NJ.- A 35-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man was hospitalized after he was struck by gunfire late yesterday afternoon as summer gun violence continues to ramp up in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Monday, July 22, 2024, shortly before 5:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired in the area of 12th Avenue and Straight Street in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene and a 35-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The man’s condition was unknown at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Passaic County authorities are continuing their search for the suspect.
