Teen Hospitalized After Being Hit By Gunfire Saturday Night In Paterson, New Jersey

PATERSON, NJ.- A Paterson, New Jersey teen was hospitalized after being struck by gunfire on Saturday night in Paterson, New Jersey, as detectives continue the search for the shooter.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, August 11, 2024, shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center following receiving a report that a teen had arrived at the medical center seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, Police Officers, upon interviewing the teen determined the teen had been shot in the area of River and Lyon Streets in the City of Paterson. Detectives were able to locate evidence of a shooting at that location.
