56-Year-Old Neptune City Man & Former Ocean County Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes On Female Student

TOMS RIVER, NJ.- Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported that following an investigation on Monday, August 12, 2024, Douglas Bollinger, 56, of Neptune City, New Jersey, was formally charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact.
During the investigation, Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit determined that between February 2019 and August 2019, Douglas Bollinger, while employed as a teacher at the Ocean County Performing Arts Academy, engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a female student in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey and on another occasion in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
On Monday, after charges were filed, a warrant was issued for Bollinger’s arrest. On Thursday, August 15, 2024, Bollinger was taken into custody at his Neptune City residence by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Following being taken into custody, Bollinger was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Ocean County Jail pending future court proceedings in Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River, New Jersey.
