4-Year-Old Boy Tragically Dies Of Injuries After He Accidentally Fell In A Swimming Pool Friday Afternoon

SOUTH SEASIDE PARK, NJ.- Today, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported that on Monday, September 2, 2024, the 4-year-old boy who sustained life-threatening injuries when he accidentally fell in a swimming pool Friday afternoon passed away.
On Friday, August 30, 2024, at around 3:30 p.m., members of the Berkeley Township Police Department, along with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a home in South Seaside Park, New Jersey, after receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting a child had been removed from a swimming pool and was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, First Responders performed life-saving measures, and the child was immediately transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he remained in critical condition until yesterday when he sadly passed away.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the child’s parents, family, and friends at this most difficult time,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
