Detectives Search For The Suspect Who Opened Fire Last Night In Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic Police Department and The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are actively searching for an armed suspect who opened fire late last night in a residential neighborhood in Passaic, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, shortly after 11:30 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired near the intersection of Harrison Street and Hope Avenue in the City of Passaic.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene at that location but were unable to identify a victim. A subsequent canvass of the area and following inquiries with local hospitals, Detectives determined that no one was injured in the shooting.

Police Search For Suspect

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as authorities continue their search for the suspect.
