Man Sentenced For Being The Leader Of Methamphetamine Trafficking Network

JOHNSTOWN, PA.- On Friday, September 20, 2024, Alexis Brolin, Jr., 55, of Allport, Pennsylvania, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Kim R. Gibson to 204 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
Brolin’s 204-month federal prison sentence is for his previously entered guilty pleas to the charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering, U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan reported.
According To Documents Filed With The Court
According to documents filed with the court, beginning in July 2019 through April 2020, Brolin, in the Western District of Pennslyvania, conspired with others to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine and mixtures and substances containing methamphetamine.
Brolin, who directed the illicit drug trafficking organization’s activity in Clearfield and the surrounding areas, was intercepted on a federal court-authorized wiretap, obtaining multiple kilograms of methamphetamine that he would then distribute to others. Law enforcement stopped Brolin in April 2020 outside of Clearfield, Pennsylvania. During the stop, law enforcement officials found 650 grams of methamphetamine that was to be distributed in Clearfield.
Following the stop, Brolin was taken into custody. While in custody, local, state, and federal law enforcement agents executed a court-authorized search warrant on Brolin’s Allport residence, at which time law enforcement agents located and seized additional quantities of methamphetamine, as well as eleven firearms and ammunition, including five shotguns, two rifles, an AK-style rifle, and three pistols, with some of the guns not having serial numbers.
Brolin was prohibited from possessing any firearm based on his earlier felony conviction for robbery. Brolin had also previously pleaded guilty to Possessing a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.
Money Laundering
Additionally, beginning in July 2019 through June 2020, Brolin conspired to commit money laundering by having various narcotics distributors pre-pay him for the methamphetamine he was to provide them through money wires to and from multiple locations within Western Pennsylvania.
U.S. Attorney Olshan commended the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation that led to Brolin’s arrest, conviction, and Friday’s prison sentence. U.S. Attorney Olshan also commended the other law enforcement agencies for their part in the investigation.
