CINCINNATI, OH.- On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Antonio White, 19, of Cincinnati, Ohio, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and pleaded guilty before Senior U.S. District Court Michael R. Barrett to three separate federal gun crimes.
On Thursday, White entered guilty pleas to Attempted Firearms Trafficking; Illegal Possession of a Machine Gun; and Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone.
According to documents filed with the court, throughout an undercover investigation, White sold eleven firearms, one machine gun conversion device, a bulletproof vest, two extended pistol magazines, and a 50-round ammunition drum. Specifically, in April 2024, White sold undercover agents a pistol with a “switch” machine gun conversion device. The firearm was an untraceable “ghost gun” with no serial number.
White Believed The Guns Were Going To Gang Members
When the guns were sold, White believed that the firearms were being trafficked out-of-state to have their serial numbers removed and then sold to gang members. White also exited Dohn Community High School on 4th Street in Cincinnati while in possession of a handgun in April 2024. Following the investigation, White was arrested and charged in May 2024.
During Thursday’s hearing, Judge Barrett accepted White’s guilty pleas and scheduled sentencing for a date to be determined by the court. When sentenced, White faces up to 15 years in federal prison, followed by at least five years of supervised release.
