Tom River Man Will Stay Behind Bars Pending Trial For Sexual Assault

TOMS RIVER, NJ.- Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported, that on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Keith Hahn, 46, of Toms River, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was ordered detained pending trial in connection with allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on September 29, 2024, in Toms River, New Jersey.
Following an initial report on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from a 14-year-old girl who reported to Ocean County authorities that while walking to the Toms River Animal Shelter and becoming lost, Hahn approached her in his motor vehicle. When she asked if he could give her a ride to the shelter, Hahn said he would.
When she got into his motor vehicle, instead of driving her to the animal shelter, he drove her to a secluded area in Toms River, and she alleged he sexually assaulted her. Hahn then dropped her off at the Walmart in Toms River, where she ran home.
   Following a swift-moving investigation by Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Toms River Police Department, Hahn was apprehended on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, and charged. Following being charged with multiple sex crimes, including Kidnapping and Aggravated Sexual Assault, Hahn was transported to the Ocean County Jail and now will remain in custody pending the resolution of the charges filed against him.
