York County Man Sentenced To Prison For Methamphetamine Trafficking

HARRISBURG, PA.- On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Craig Smith, 53, of York County, Pennsylvania, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson to 120 months in federal prison Methamphetamine Trafficking.
According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Smith was sentenced on Tuesday for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking organization that operated out of a home in Windsor, Pennsylvania.
Smith previously entered a guilty plea to Trafficking 500 Grams or More of Methamphetamine. During his plea hearing, Smith admitted that on May 6, 2020, he tried to purchase over 600 grams of methamphetamine from a Philadelphia drug dealer and was subsequently arrested. During the arrest, Police Officers found a loaded handgun in his possession.
Co-Conspirators Charged
Smith was charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, along with co-conspirators Kimberly Forney, Cody Mitzel, Christa Tabor, and Sheridan Lee Boothe.
All the other co-conspirators have pled guilty for their roles in the methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy. Forney was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison. Mitzel was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison, and Boothe was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison. Tabor has recently pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and is currently awaiting sentencing.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Federal Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Consiglio.
