3 D.C. Teens & Hyattsville Maryland Teen Charged In Monday’s Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith reported that following an investigation, two 18-year-old teens and two 16-year-old teens were taken into custody early Tuesday morning and charged in connection with Monday night’s Shooting during an Attempted Carjacking in Northeast, D.C.

     On Monday, October 14, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting on the 1200 Block of H Street in Northeast D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that four suspects approached a victim and attempted to take their vehicle. During an ensuing struggle, one of the suspects fired a handgun, which struck the victim. The four suspects then fled the scene in another vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital where they were treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

     A short time later, Detectives from the Real Time Crime Center and D.C. Metropolitan Police Helicopter, Falcon One, were able to track the suspects into D.C. Fifth District, where Police Officers responded to the area and arrested all four suspects without incident.

     Accordingly, Detectives have charged Andrew Williams, 18, of Hyattsville, Maryland, a 16-year-old boy from Southwest D.C., Anardo Little, 18, of Northwest D.C., and a 16-year-old boy, from Northwest D.C. were all charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon; Armed Carjacking; Carrying a Pistol Without a License; Possession of an Unregistered Firearm; Possession of Unregistered Ammunition; and Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine; Unauthorized Use of a Moter Vehicle; and Unlawful Entry.

     All four teens were processed on the charges. Their custody status was unavailable at the time of reporting.
