DELRAN, NJ.- On Friday, October 18, 2024, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that following an investigation into internet child pornography activity, a 60-year-old Delran, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged in connection with downloading child pornography.

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, during the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at a residence on Stewart Avenue in Delran Township, New Jersey. Filmore Apeadu, 60, was taken into custody and charged with one count of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.

During the search, Detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the Delran Township Police Department seized multiple electronic devices that will undergo forensic examination by detectives.

The search warrant and arrest are the result of an investigation that began when the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Apeadu’s online activities. During the investigation, Detectives determined that Apeadu was utilizing the internet to view and download digital images depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

Following the investigation, Detectives found probable cause to present to a judge to obtain a search warrant. The filing of the charge will be prepared to be presented to a Burington County Grand Jury for possible indictment.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
