D.C. Metropolitan Police Detectives Investigating Saturday Stabbing Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing of a 46-year-old man that occurred early Saturday morning in Northwest D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at around 1:15 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing on the 300 Block of Delafield Place in Northwest D.C.

Responding Police Officers Find Victim

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Micheal Buie, 46, inside the building, unresponsive from multiple stab wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Service’s personnel, Mr. Buie succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue to search for the suspect.
