Man Hospitalized After Being Shot Friday Night In Northeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is actively searching for the gunman who shot a man early Friday night in Northeast D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, October 18, 2024, shortly around 6:15 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired on the 3900 Block of Minnesota Avenue in Northeast D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man having sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police Searching For Suspect

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. Metropolitan Police Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect captured on area surveillance footage.
