Police Searching For The Suspect In Friday Night’s Shooting Homicide

VINELAND, NJ.- A 30-year-old Vineland, New Jersey man became the latest victim of senseless gun violence that has been plaguing the streets of cities across the State of New Jersey after he succumbed to a gunshot wound in a Friday night shooting in the City of Vineland.
According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Friday, October 18, 2024, just around 9:30 p.m., members of the Vineland Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired on Southeast Boulevard between Sherman and Grant Avenues in the City of Vineland.
Police Officers Find Victims
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Mark A. Brown, 30, of Vineland, New Jersey, in the driver’s seat of his car, unresponsive from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Mr. Brown was immediately transported to Inspira Medical Center, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Brown succumbed to the gunshot wound and was tragically pronounced deceased a short time later.
    Police Officers also located a 34-year-old Vineland man, who was a passenger in Mr. Brown’s motor vehicle, having sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound lying on an adjacent property. First responders also transported the man to Inspira Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the suspect.
