ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Javier Erazo, 21, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrant to four years in New Jersey State Prison for his previously entered guilty plea to Luring in Enticing a Child by Various Means.
In addition, Judge Incarvito-Garrabrant ordered Erazo to be on parole supervision for life, and upon release from prison, Erazo will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law requirements.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynold, the guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began when, on June 25, 2024, the Atlantic City Police Department received information that Erazo was coming to an Atlantic City park to hook up with a 13-year-old girl that he met on the social media messaging application “Snapchat” to engage in sexual activity.
Upon arrival, Atlantic City Police Officers observed Erazo with the 13-year-old girl and subsequently taken into custody. During questioning, Erazo admitted to engaging in sexually explicit chats with the child on “Snapchat” and “Roblox” with the intention of engaging in sexual relations with the 13-year-old girl.
Following his admission, Erazo was formally charged with Luring in Enticing, and he subsequently pleaded guilty to the charge on August 22, 2024, before Judge Incarvito-Garrabrant.
