HARRISBURG, PA.- On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, a Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment against Kyle Eugene Gordon, 36, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on a federal escape charge.

According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam, it has been alleged that on October 7, 2024, Gordon escaped from custody while being detained at the Capital Pavilion Residential Reentry Center in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Following his escape, Kyle was later apprehended on October 15, 2024.

If convicted at trial, Gordon faces up to five years in federal prison, a term of supervised release, and a fine. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scalera is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
