BOSTON, MA.- Today, October 30, 2024, George Jimenez, 31, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, appeared in U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns to one count of Distribution and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl. Jimenez was initially charged by federal complaint in October 2023.

Following entering his plea today, Judge Stearns accepted his plea and scheduled sentencing for February 5, 2025, at which time Jimenez faces up to 20 years in federal prison and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a $1 million fine.

According to charging information filed with the court, on September 27, 2023, during a controlled buy observed and recorded by federal agents, Jimenez sold and distributed 99 grams of fentanyl to a cooperating witness in Methuen, Massachusetts.

Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy commended the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Field Office, for the investigation, arrest, and today’s guilty plea of Jimenez.
