WILLINGBORO, NJ.- A 33-year-old Willingboro, New Jersey woman, and her 54-year-old mother were found fatally shot early Wednesday morning inside their home in the Hawthorne Park neighborhood of Willingboro Township in what appears to be a targeted shooting.

According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, shortly after 4:00 a.m., members of the Willingboro Township Police Department responded to the First Block of Harrington Circle in the Township after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, Police Officers made entry into the residence and discovered the bodies of Catherine Nunez, 33, and Marisol Nunez, 54, in an upstairs bedroom, both having succumbed to gunshot wounds. Both women were pronounced deceased at the scene. A subsequent autopsy by the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death to both women to be gunshot wounds and the manner homicide.

The initial investigation determined that the perpetrator or perpetrators made entry through a first-floor window that was found broken by responding Police Officers.

Detectives Believe It Was Not A Random Act Of Violence
