COLUMBUS, OH.- On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Bernard Clark McMillon, also known as “Philly,” 32, of Columbus, Ohio, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Micheal H. Watson to 130 months in federal prison on his previous entered guilty pleas.
McMillon appeared in U.S. District Court in June 2024 and pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances, specifically 40 Grams or More of Fentanyl and 5 Grams or More of Methamphetamine; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking.
According to U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Parker and documents filed with the district court, beginning in the fall of 2022 and lasting through February 2023, McMillon and a co-defendant used a series of different houses in central Ohio to repackage and traffic fentanyl, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Their “Stash Houses” included residences located on South Terrace, Doren, Columbian, Floral, and Springmont Avenues and McCarley Drive West.
U.S. Attorney Parker stated that McMillon and the co-defendant took advantage of people with addictions who were using the defendants’ residences to make drug sales on their behalf.
During the arrests of McMillon and his co-defendant, federal, state, and local law enforcement investigators, in addition to illicit narcotics, seized two handguns and a 12-gauge shotgun.
