Youngstown Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Trafficking & Firearms Offenses

PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Antoine Tate, 43, of Youngstown, Ohio, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Cathy Bissoon to Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Offense.
According to U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan and documents filed with the court, on October 31, 2020, Tate, within the Westen District of Pennsylvania, possessed with the intent to distribute quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and oxycodone. Further, Tate possessed a firearm during the commission of the drug trafficking crime.
Following his guilty plea on Thursday, Judge Bissoon accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for March 19, 2025. At that time, Tate faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to life in federal prison and a fine of up to $2,250,000 or both. The actual term of imprisonment will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge based on the seriousness of the offenses and Tate’s prior criminal history.
