CLARKSBURG, W.VA.- On Friday, November 22, 2024, Martin Lynn Queen, 61, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi to Being a Prohibited Person in Possession of Firearms.
Following entering his guilty plea on Friday, Judge Aloi accepted his plea and scheduled sentencing for a date to be determined by the District Court. When sentenced, Queen faces up to 15 years in federal prison. The actual term of imprisonment will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge based on the seriousness of the offense and Queen’s prior criminal history.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and charging documents filed with the district court, during a traffic stop, Police Officers found a firearm in Queen’s motor vehicle. A subsequent court-authorized search of Queen’s properties uncovered multiple firearms and ammunition.
Queen knew he was prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and ammunition due to his prior firearm conviction in the Northern District of West Virginia.
