High Bridge Crossing Guard Fatally Struck By Motor Vehicle Today Â

HIGH BRIDGE, NJ.- Hunterdon County authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a fatal pedestrian-involved motor vehicle collision that occurred today, claiming the life of a 75-year-old High Bridge, New Jersey man.
   According to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renee M. Robeson, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, shortly after noon, members of the High Bridge Police Department and First Responders responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a crossing guard being struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection County Route 513 and Larrison Avenue in High Bridge.
Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders learned that the crossing guard, identified as Robert Bork, 75, of High Bridge, New Jersey, was struck by a motor vehicle while he was working at the intersection. Mr. Bork was immediately airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
