BUFFALO, NY.- On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Timothy Snyder, 44, of Jamestown, New York, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara to 130 months in federal prison for his conviction of Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of 500 Grams or More of Methamphetamine; and Conspiracy to Distribute 100 Grams or More of Heroin.

According to U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross and charging documents filed with the district court, Snyder was a drug trafficking associate of Rocco Beardsley. As part of Beardsley’s drug trafficking operation, Snyder, who was a manager and supervisor of the operation, sold stored and packaged illicit narcotics.

Snyder was also tasked with keeping drug ledgers, collecting money, and coordinating with co-conspirators to sell and distribute quantities of methamphetamine and a mixture of heroin and fentanyl throughout the Western District of New York.

In May 2019, members of the Jamestown Police Department conducted a motor vehicle traffic stop on Snyder and his wife. During a subsequent search of their vehicle, Police Officers found $8,400 in U.S. currency, which were illicit narcotics proceeds that were to be turned over to Beardsley.

Rocco Beardsley was previously convicted of federal narcotics charges and is currently awaiting sentencing.

U.S. Attorney Ross credited the investigative work of the Jamestown Police Department and the coordinative work of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces with leading to Snyder’s successful prosecution.
