MARTINSBURG, W.VA.- Today, a 33-year-old Baltimore, Maryland, man learned that he will be spending the next two decades of his life in federal prison for distributing deadly fentanyl throughout the Northern District of West Virginia, leaving a wake of despair to many West Virginians.
Today, December 3, 2024, Sean Jarred Davis, 33, of Baltimore, Maryland, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Gina M. Groh to 240 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release for his conviction of operating a Fentanyl Trafficking Operation in Hampshire and Mineral Counties in the Northern District of West Virginia.
According to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, III, and charging documents filed with the district court, Davis, also known as “Mike” and “Mike White,” was responsible for transporting and supplying large amounts of fentanyl and heroin from Baltimore, Maryland into the Northern District of West Virginia.
Davis, upon arriving in West Virginia, would then deliver the quantities of fentanyl and heroin to others in Hampshire and Mineral Counties to be sold on his behalf.
U.S. Attorney Ihlenfeld commended the investigative work of the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force.
