BUFFALO, NY.- A 24-year-old Rochester area, New York man who was charged last month on NewYork State charges for allegedly raping two sisters, a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old, was criminally charged in federal court on Friday for allegedly filming the sexual acts he committed on both children.
According to U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross, on Friday, December 6, 2024, Ahmed Yaqoob, 24, of Greece, New York, was arrested and charged in a federal criminal complaint with Production of Child Pornography; and Possession of Child Pornography.
According to the charging information filed in the criminal complaint, on October 18, 2024, members of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Town of North Collins to follow up on a report regarding the sexual assault of a preteen girl.
The investigation revealed that a 12-year-old girl began communicating with Yaboob on October 17, 2024, through a dating application called “Pure.” During their communications, Yaboob arranged to meet the child at the child’s North Collins residence. When Yaboob arrived, the girl and her 14-year-old sister got into Yaboob’s vehicle.

The complaint further states that Yaboob drove both girls to the area of Zoar Valley Road in the Town of Concord, where he engaged in sexual activity with both children. Investigators believe that Yaboob recorded the sexual activity on his cell phone. On October 24, 2024, investigators searched Yaboob’s cell phone and uncovered two videos that had been recorded and deleted from the device. The videos depicted Yaboob having sex with both children.
Yaboob was initially taken into custody on November 15, 2024, and criminally charged out of Erie County Superior Court with Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child less than Thirteen; Rape in the First Degree; and Rape in the Second Degree.

Yaboob will remain in custody, where he has been since his November 15, 2024 arrest.
