TRENTON, NJ.- An apparent early Sunday morning argument outside a Trenton, New Jersey bar turns deadly after gunfire erupts, leaving a 47-year-old Ewing, New Jersey man dead and a 40-year-old Willingboro, New Jersey man hospitalized.

According to Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa L. Hilton, today, December 8, 2024, at around 1:00 a.m., members of the Trenton Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire outside Al Lee’s Bar and Lounge located on Dickinson Street in the City of Trenton.

Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that there had been an argument outside the bar, and multiple gunshots were fired. During the initial investigation, Police Officers and Detectives learned that a 40-year-old Willingboro man was privately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted for multiple gunshot wounds.

While canvassing the area, Police Officers located a second victim, later identified as Kristoffer Givens, 47, of Ewing, on nearby Olden Avenue, having sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. Mr. Givens was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Givens succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
