The conviction stems from an investigation that began on April 22, 2021, when, at around 11:30 p.m., members of the Willingboro Township Police Department responded to a report of gunfire on Barrington Lane in the Barrington Park section of the Township.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Yahsinn Robinson, 18, a senior at Willingboro High School, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Robinson was pronounced at the scene.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives determined that Carter and Young and their associates from Pemberton Township were involved in a long-running dispute with certain individuals residing in the Barrington Park section of Willingboro Township. Detectives further determined that the shooting was an escalation of the ongoing conflict. Mr. Robinson was returning home from his part-time job when he was fatally gunned down by Carter and Young.
