Police Arrest Man Wanted For November 2023 Ridge Road Homicide

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fugitive Unit arrested a 42-year-old Southeast, D.C. man wanted in connection with gunning down a 52-year-old man last year in Southeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, November 13, 2023, shortly before 11:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District were responding to reports of gunfire. While responding, Police Officers were flagged down by an individual who led them to the 400 Block of Ridge Road in Southeast, D.C.
Upon arrival at that location, Police Officers found a man identified as Marcus Little, 52, of Southeast, D.C., having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr Little was pronounced deceased at the scene.
During an investigation, Detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch were able to identify Rico Parker, 42, of Southeast, D.C., as the shooter and the individual responsible for killing Mr. Marcus, and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fugitive Unit arrested and charged Parker with first-degree Premeditated Murder While Armed, according to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.
