Man Hospitalized In Christmas Night Shooting In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting after gunfire erupted late Christmas Night in the City of Paterson, sending a Paterson, New Jersey man to the hospital.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at around 11:45 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a request to meet a 41-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, who had been struck by gunfire.
Upon arrival, Police Officers encountered a man who reported being shot in the area of 12th Avenue and Carroll Street in the City of Paterson. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests were reported at this time as Detectives continued to search for the gunman.
