Police Searching For Suspect In Last Night’s Rape Of A Jersey City Woman

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Detectives of the Hudson County Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are searching for the man who broke into a Jersey City residence and Physically and Sexually Assaulted a woman inside her home.

     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a home invasion at a residence located on McAdoo Avenue in Jersey City.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a woman who reported that an unknown man had entered her home through a window and then physically and sexually assaulted her. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is being treated.

     No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives ask anyone with information or who may have been in the immediate area at that time to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office
