Convicted Rochester Drug Trafficker Sentenced To Federal Prison

ROCHESTER, NY.- On Tuesday, a 34-year-old two-time Rochester, New York, convicted felon learned he would be spending the next 16 years in federal conviction following being sentenced for his conviction on drug trafficking offenses.
According to U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross, Walter H. Bennett, 34, of Rochester, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Charles J. Siragusa to 192 months in federal prison for his conviction on federal narcotics and firearms offenses.
Bennett Convicted Narcotics And Firearms Charges
Bennett was convicted on the federal charges of Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of 10 Grams or More of Fentanyl, 10 Grams or More of Fluorofentanyl, 500 Grams or More of Cocaine, and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.
According to documents filed with the District Court, Bennett, a two-time convicted felon, was a leader of a drug trafficking organization that operated and distributed large quantities of fentanyl, fluoro-fentanyl, and cocaine in the Rochester, New York, and Augusta, Maine, areas.
Bennett and his co-conspirators operated a drug house on Woodward Street in Rochester, where they sold the drugs. They also stored controlled substances, firearms, magazines, and ammunition at houses on Argo Park and Clairmont Street. During the investigation, investigators seized around 158 grams of fentanyl, 11 grams of fluoro-fentanyl, and 580 grams of cocaine, as well as over $20,000 in narcotic sale proceeds, six firearms, including two stolen firearms and a defaced handgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Bennett’s co-defendants were also convicted. Tyrik Edwards was sentenced to 160 months in federal prison, Ray C. Mack, Jr., was sentenced to 135 months, and Steven Jackson was sentenced to 48 months.
