Rutherford Man Facing Additional Child Sexual Assault Charges

RUTHERFORD, NJ.- A 43-year-old Rutherford, New Jersey, man and accused child predator, currently being detained in the Bergen County Jail after being charged late last month with allegedly sexually assaulting a child over three years, was additionally charged on Friday with an additional two counts of child sexual assault charges.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, and as previously reported, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Detectives from the Rutherford Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after the Police Department received a report regarding the alleged sexual assault of a preteen child. 

     During a joint investigation by the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Rutherford Police Department, Detectives, after interviewing witnesses, including the child victim, determined that Rolando F. Pincay-Sailema, 43, of Rutherford, sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen, repeatedly in Rutherford, New Jersey, over the past three years.

     Following the investigation, on Monday, January 27, 2025, Pincay-Sailema was taken into custody and jailed after being charged with multiple child sex crime offenses.

Detectives Uncover Additional Sex Crimes Committed

     According to the Prosecutor’s Office, as a result of the ongoing investigation, Detectives subsequently uncovered that Pincay-Sailema committed two additional acts of aggravated sexual assault on a preteen child in Rutherford, New Jersey.

     Accordingly, on Friday, January 31, 2025, Pincay-Sailema was additionally charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault. Pincay-Sailema was processed on the charges at the Bergen County Jail, where he is currently being detained pending trial on the initial charges in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
