Haverhill Man Pleads Guilty To Gun & Cocaine Trafficking

BOSTON, MA.- On Monday, February 10, 2025, Cordell Miller, 29, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, appeared in the U.S. District for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before Senior U.S. District Court Judge William G. Young to one count of Distribution of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Aiding and Abetting; one count of Firearms Trafficking; and one count of Conspiracy to Firearms Trafficking.

     Following entering his guilty plea on Monday, Judge Young accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for May 7, 2025. At that time, on the charge of cocaine distribution, Miller faces up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. On the firearms trafficking charge, Miller faces up to 15 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.

     When sentenced, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Miller’s prior criminal history, if any. Miller was taken into custody and charged in November 2023, along with co-conspirators Malcolm Desir and Alan Robinson.  

According To Charging Documents

     According to U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and charging documents filed with the District Court, During an investigation into firearms trafficking throughout the Boston, Massachusetts, area, Miller was identified as a firearms and ammunition trafficker. In August 2023, Miller arranged for the sale of a quantity of cocaine and several firearms to a confidential informant during a controlled buy under the observation of law enforcement investigators.

Miller Worked With Co-Cospirators

     Prior to his arrest in November 2023, Miller and Robinson facilitated the sale of four separate firearms; an AR-15 “Ghost Gun;” a Polymer 80 “Ghost Gun;” a Hipoint 9mm rifle; and a Ruger .38-caliber pistol. 

     According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, in January 2025, Robinson pleaded guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 15, 2025. Desir is expected to plead guilty on February 19, 2025.
