PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment charging Eric Estuardo Hernandez-Ramos, 19, a Guatemalan national illegally residing in the Western District of Pennsylvania, with one count of Unlawful Reentry by a Previously Deported Alien.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti and charging information unsealed in the indictment, Hernandez-Ramos was found illegally in the Western District of Pennsylvania on January 25, 2025, after being removed from the United States around December 18, 2023.

If convicted at trial, Hernandez-Ramos faces up to two years in federal prison, at least one year of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. Hernandez-Ramos, upon completion of any imposed sentence, will face immediate deportation proceedings to be removed from the United States.
