Carter And Young Convicted In December 2024

Following a two-month trial in December 2024 in Burlington County Superior Court, after deliberating for just three hours, the jury found Carter and Young guilty of first-degree Murder; first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; first-degree Gang Criminality; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.      The guilty verdicts and sentences stem from an investigation that began on April 22, 2021, when Carter and Young, along with their associates from Pemberton Township, were involved in a long-running dispute with certain individuals residing in the Buckingham Park section of Willingboro, New Jersey, Mr. Robinson lived with his family.

During the investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Robinson was not involved in the dispute or associated with either group. Mr. Robinson had just returned home from his part-time job during the evening of April 22, 2021, when Carter and Young, along with their associates, opened fire, striking Mr. Robinson multiple times and killing him outside his home.

“The loss of Yahsinn’s innocent, young life should never have occurred. It is the epitome of senseless,” Prosecutor Bradshaw said. “Our office has an unwavering commitment to combating gang-related violence and securing justice for innocent victims. Violent offenders will continue to be relentlessly pursued and held fully accountable for their actions.”
