D.C. Police Charge Teen In October 2024 Strongarm Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Tuesday, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department arrested and charged a 15-year-old Northwest, D.C. boy in connection with a strongarm robbery that occurred in October 2024 in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, October 29, 2024, just shortly after 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a report of a robbery on the 1500 Block of Marion Street in Northwest, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers encountered a victim who reported that they had been physically assaulted by two suspects who robbed the victim of money and then fled the scene.
Police Charge Northwest, D.C. Teen On Tuesday
During an ongoing investigation, Detectives identified one of the suspects as a 15-year-old Northwest, D.C. boy. On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Police Officers located the teen and placed him under arrest, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court Juvenile Custody order, and formally charged the boy with one count of Robbery by Force or Violence.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as Detectives continue their investigation into the identity and whereabouts of the second suspect.
